Call Center Market Grows After the Pandemic
With the arrival of the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020 in Brazil, the telemarketing sector and call center companies also had to reinvent themselves. With social distancing being one of the recommendations from health authorities to contain the disease, the service was declared essential. However, at the same time, it had to undergo adaptations imposed by the new scenario and invest in new technologies and services to meet the growing and different demand.
In the same context, e-commerce, delivery, and virtual services emerged as main options for activities that were prohibited from operating in person. As a result, the online sales sector recorded a record jump in 2020, according to a survey by the Brazilian Electronic Commerce Association (ABComm) in partnership with Geotrust.
Sales growth was 68% compared to 2019, increasing the share of e-commerce in the total retail revenue.
