Most Resources Should Be Applied in the States of Acre and Rondônia, Energisa Operates in 11 States in Brazil

In a meeting with Jair Bolsonaro this week, Ricardo Perez Botelho, CEO of Energisa, confirmed to the president investments amounting to R$ 7.5 billion in Brazil over 2 years (2022). Since the company recently purchased distributors in Acre and Rondônia, around R$ 1.5 billion will be allocated to these states primarily.

It is worth noting that 20% of the population in both states is not connected to the National Interconnected System. “These are places served by isolated diesel systems. Our goal, by 2022, is to connect all these customers through lines that we are going to build,” Botelho explained.

Botelho emphasized that these investments will not incur additional costs or any taxes for its customers.

Today, Energisa occupies 24% of the national territory and provides services to about 10% of the population across 11 states.

In the last report, Energisa informed that its annual shareholder profit fell by 85.8%, equivalent to R$ 34.5 million. This result was due to the acquisition of distributors in Energisa in Acre and Rondônia.
