Analysis Shows Subtle Changes in Fuel Prices
A recent comparative analysis between the weeks of 11/05/2023 to 11/11/2023 and 11/12/2023 to 11/18/2023 revealed overall stability in diesel prices, with some notable variations in cities like Belo Horizonte, Cuiabá, and São Paulo. Despite a trend of stability in prices, these specific variations are crucial for understanding the impact on operational costs and consumer budgets.
Details of Regional Variations
In Belo Horizonte, there was a decrease of 4.14% in the price of common diesel, resulting in a current value of R$ 5.79. Cuiabá experienced a drop of 2.21% in S10 diesel, now quoted at R$ 6.19. In São Paulo, S10 diesel fell by 0.64%, costing around R$ 6.23, while common diesel increased by 0.84%, with the current value at R$ 6.01. These fluctuations highlight the dynamics of fuel prices across different Brazilian regions.
Expert Perspective and National Comparison
Ricardo Henrique, data analyst at the São Paulo Institute of Cargo Transport (IPTC), notes that the last week showed stability in the variation of diesel prices. “This trend of stability, with slight decreases, indicates a balanced fuel market, though always susceptible to changes,” says Henrique. Currently, Rio Branco leads with the highest diesel prices, with S10 diesel at R$ 7.00 and common at R$ 6.95, while Salvador offers the most affordable prices, with S10 diesel at R$ 5.97 and common at R$ 5.64.
