The Federal Institute of Ceará Opens Free Spots for E-Learning Technical Courses in Ten Campuses of the State, with Options in Administration, Computer Science, Environment, and Other Areas Focused on Those Who Have Already Completed High School.
The Federal Institute of Ceará (IFCE) has released the Public Notice No. 22/2025, which opens spots for subsequent technical courses in the Distance Education (EaD) modality, with enrollment planned for the first semester of 2026.
The opportunities are aimed at those who have already completed high school and wish to obtain a recognized and free technical qualification.
The spots are distributed across ten campuses of the institution: Baturité, Cedro, Fortaleza, Guaramiranga, Maranguape, Paracuru, Quixadá, Sobral, Tabuleiro do Norte, and Tianguá.

Courses and Offering Units
The public notice covers six areas of training.
The technical course in Administration is available in four units: Cedro (25 spots), Guaramiranga (40), Quixadá (40), and Tabuleiro do Norte (40).
In Events, there are spots in Baturité (40) and Fortaleza (40).
In the area of Computer Science for the Internet, the offering is extensive: Maranguape (40 spots), Paracuru (35), Sobral (40), and Tianguá (40).
The technical course in Environment is available at Campus Fortaleza (35 spots).
The training in Restaurant and Bar will be offered in Maranguape, with 30 spots, at the same campus where there are 50 spots for the technical course in School Secretary.
Structure and Format of Classes
The courses follow a blended model, where 80% of classes occur online — with synchronous and asynchronous activities — and 20% are in-person.
The mandatory meetings on campuses involve evaluations, laboratory practices, and pedagogical guidance.
To participate in virtual activities, the candidate needs to have access to a computer or mobile device with stable internet.
The format is the same as that adopted in other EaD offerings of the federal network, with support from tutors and pedagogical monitoring.
Who Can Participate
The selection is aimed exclusively at high school graduates, as these are subsequent technical courses.
At the time of enrollment, the candidate must prove the completion of this educational stage through the Academic History or equivalent document.
The process also follows the rules of the Quotas Law, allocating 50% of spots to students from public schools.
Within this reservation, there are subdivisions for low-income candidates, black, brown, indigenous, quilombola, and people with disabilities.
The rules regarding documentation, self-declaration, and validation of quotas are described in the public notice and must be observed closely.
Selection Criteria and Tiebreakers
There is no exam.
The selection will be made in a single stage, through the analysis of high school grades.
The calculation considers the arithmetic average of the subjects indicated in the public notice.
In case of a tie, the criteria set by IFCE will be applied, which include older age and performance in specific curricular components.
All results — approved enrollments, classification lists, convocations, and calls — will be published on the Q-Selection portal and on the official pages of the campuses.
The detailed schedule can be found in Annex III of the public notice and must be constantly monitored by candidates.
EaD Modality and Presential Requirement
Even with a predominance of distance activities, the modality requires participation in mandatory in-person meetings.
These moments serve for evaluations, workshops, and supervised practices.
Unjustified absence may compromise performance or lead to loss of the spot.
In addition to the virtual platform, IFCE provides technical and pedagogical support to ensure students’ adaptation to the hybrid format.
Each campus defines its own calendar of in-person meetings and complementary activities.
How to Enroll
Registrations must be made exclusively online, through the IFCE Q-Selection portal, until October 29, 2025.
At the time of filling out the form, the candidate must attach the academic transcript or equivalent document. There is no registration fee.
After submitting, it is essential to monitor updates on the official website and IFCE’s social media, where the lists of candidates, convocations, and enrollment instructions are published.
Interested parties should carefully read the complete public notice before applying, checking the course, shift, and chosen campus.
