With The Shortage Of Skilled Labor In The US, The Country Is Urgently In Need Of Professionals Such As Doctors, Nurses, Pilots, And More

The United States continues to face a shortage of skilled labor, and in 2024, this demand for foreign professionals is expected to increase even further. With around 11 million new jobs created monthly, many of these opportunities remain open due to the lack of qualified candidates, according to data from the Bureau of Labor and Statistics (BLS).

Marcelo Gondim, an immigration attorney in Los Angeles, highlights that this situation creates significant job opportunities for qualified immigrants who wish to work in the US legally, according to the site Exame.

Shortage Of Professionals In The US? Know The Reason

Several factors contribute to the current labor shortage in the US. The rapid recovery of the economy after the pandemic has resulted in a significant increase in new companies and startups, attracting foreign entrepreneurs and investors to the country.

Additionally, there is a trend of disinterest among young people in pursuing traditional job opportunities, such as medicine, education, and aviation, while many veteran professionals retired during the pandemic.

The US government provides annual quotas for green cards for qualified foreign professionals, offering job opportunities in various fields. EB (Employment-Based) visas are intended for professionals with experience and successful careers, and Brazilians are among the most benefited by these visas.
