The Construction of the New Factory in Botucatu, São Paulo
All production lines of the new factory under construction will begin their operations already robotized, with self-diagnostic machines and maintenance records via mobile. The unit will serve the Ceusa and Portinari brands, producing large-format ceramic tiles that can be used for countertops and facades, replacing marble slabs.
The construction of this new factory in São Paulo will complement the production of ceramic coatings from the four company units located in the south of Brazil, in the state of Santa Catarina in the cities of Urussanga and Criciúma. The construction time is approximately two years. DexCo estimates the generation of 350 direct jobs in the region and plans to deliver the first line of products produced on-site by 2023.

The Company Also Announced a Plan to Invest R$ 2.5 Billion in Three Years
The company’s investments in its units will total R$ 2.5 billion over three years. There will be R$ 500 million in the Wood division, the company’s main business, R$ 1.1 billion in Deca, R$ 600 million in the new ceramic coatings factory construction, R$ 100 million in the acquisition of a minority stake in the ABC Construction network, R$ 100 million in venture capital fund, and R$ 100 million in one-off contributions. Currently, all DexCo units are operating at maximum capacity. Except for the construction of the new ceramic coatings factory to be built in Botucatu, the other investments will be made in existing units, taking advantage of each unit’s technical stoppages. The new capacities will gradually come into operation in the market by 2024.

One of the largest groups in Brazilian soybean farming is about to enter the biodiesel market. AMAGGI will begin the construction of its first factory in the city of Lucas do Rio Verde, in the state of Mato Grosso, where the group already has a soybean crushing industrial complex. Announced in 2018, the construction of the industrial plant began in October 2020 as another step towards sustainable evolution in the state’s agribusiness.
The location of the new biodiesel factory that will be under construction could not be more favorable, as the city of Lucas do Rio Verde is situated in one of the main agricultural production regions of Mato Grosso and is where AMAGGI’s grain crushing industry has been located for over 10 years. It is precisely in this industrial complex that more than 26,000 m2 of built area for the new biodiesel processing plant are being erected.
