Free Language Courses at IFRO
IFRO has just released Notice No. 10/2025, offering 200 slots for Initial and Continuing Education (FIC) courses in different languages.

There are a total of four courses, with 50 slots each, totaling 200 opportunities for the internal and external community of IFRO.

- Portuguese Language and Brazilian Culture for Foreigners – Basic II
- Portuguese Language and Brazilian Culture for Foreigners – Advanced I
- English – Basic II
- Spanish – Basic I
These courses will be offered 100% online, with both synchronous and asynchronous classes.

Who Can Enroll in the Language Courses?
Enrollment is open to everyone, both those who are already part of the IFRO academic community and those who wish to join.
However, enrollment requirements vary depending on the chosen course.

- For all courses: You must be enrolled in or have completed high school (or equivalent).
- For Portuguese Language and Brazilian Culture for Foreigners – Basic II: The candidate needs to present a Basic I completion certificate.
- For Portuguese Language and Brazilian Culture for Foreigners – Advanced I: An Intermediate II certificate is required.
- For English – Basic II: Presentation of a Basic I English certificate.
- For Spanish – Basic I: Only proof of high school education (in progress or completed) is required.

What to Expect from IFRO’s Language Courses?
Each course offers a total workload of 60 hours, with weekly classes conducted via Google Meet and activities on the Virtual Learning Environment (AVA).

To obtain the completion certificate for the course, the student must meet at least 75% attendance in class and achieve at least 60% performance in the proposed activities.
