The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of São Paulo (IFSP), through the Capivari Campus, has opened 50 slots for the free and fully distance specialization in Web Systems and Mobile Applications Development, with enrollment expected for the first semester of 2026.
Applications can be made between February 3 and 8, 2026.
According to the notice, the selection will be conducted by electronic lottery, without the application of a test or curriculum analysis, in case the number of applicants exceeds the total available slots.

How the IFSP Distance Specialization Works
According to information published by IFSP itself, the specialization was structured to be conducted entirely in a virtual environment.
The activities include recorded classes, synchronous meetings via videoconference, and practical exercises, organized according to the pedagogical planning of each discipline and the institutional guidelines of the postgraduate program.
The total workload is 360 hours.
Also according to the Capivari Campus, the expected regular duration is 18 months, with the possibility of extension up to a maximum of 30 months for completion, considering any failures, dependencies, or justified interruptions in the academic journey.
Selection by Electronic Lottery Replaces Traditional Exam
The notice establishes that the selection process will be done by public electronic lottery whenever the number of candidates exceeds the number of available slots.
In this format, there is no objective test or curriculum evaluation stage, a procedure that, according to IFSP, follows internal rules applied to postgraduate courses with high demand.
The institution also informed that the lottery will be conducted with live transmission on the official channel of the Capivari Campus on YouTube.
The procedure aims to ensure transparency in the selection process, according to institutional communication.
Who Can Participate in the Free Specialization
Candidates who have completed a degree recognized by the Ministry of Education in areas related to technology and computing can compete for the 50 slots.
Accepted degrees include Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Systems, Systems Analysis and Development, as well as technological courses and teaching degrees related to the field of information technology.

Reservation of Slots and Affirmative Actions
IFSP informs that the selection process includes reservation of slots for affirmative actions.
This group includes self-declared black, brown, indigenous, quilombola candidates, and persons with disabilities.
The criteria follow the institution’s own regulations and the current federal legislation.
Dates of the Selection Process and Steps Until Enrollment
The calendar released by the Capivari Campus sets the deadline for applications on February 8, 2026.
The homologation of applications is scheduled for February 20.
The electronic lottery is expected to occur on February 23, 2026, at 2:30 PM.
The announcement of the preliminary results is scheduled for February 24.
The deadline for presenting appeals will take place on February 25 and 26.
The final result and the first call for enrollment are expected for March 2, 2026.
Candidates called in the first round must complete enrollment between March 4 and 6.
If there is a need for adjustments or additional documents, the correction period is expected to take place on March 9.
When Do Classes for the Specialization Begin
The forecast released by the IFSP is that classes will begin on March 16, 2026.
The course will be developed through the institutional digital platform, with activities distributed throughout the academic semester.
The published curriculum includes subjects related to the development of systems for web and mobile devices, databases, web services, and cloud computing.
