Applications for the Professional Master’s in Inclusive Education (PROFEI), for admission in 2026, will take place from September 11 to 29, 2025, with a deadline at 4:59 PM (Brasília time), exclusively through the website seletivo.profei.com.br.
The announcement provides 620 spots for a simultaneous national offer, with meetings in a hybrid format and three research lines. The maximum duration of the course is 24 months.
Who Can Participate in the 2026 Selection
Applicants with a undergraduate degree recognized by the MEC who are in effective practice as class teachers in the public Basic Education network may compete.

A minimum workload of 20 hours per week is required.
It is also necessary to work in a regular classroom or in Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE), whether in a multifunctional resource room or itinerantly.
Course Structure and Duration
The PROFEI adopts hybrid teaching, combining classes, meetings, and synchronous remote guidance with in-person activities defined by the councils of associated institutions.
The course requires 96 credits to complete, distributed among subjects, complementary activities, and a dissertation. The maximum time for completion is 24 months.
Available Research Lines
The program has a concentration area in Inclusive Education and three research lines.
The first, Special Education from the Perspective of Inclusive Education, addresses foundations, policies, and practices for creating inclusive school environments.
The second, Technological Innovation and Assistive Technology, investigates active methodologies mediated by digital technologies, social networks, and assistive technology resources applied to the school context.
The third, Practices and Formative Processes of Educators for Inclusive Education, focuses on formative processes and pedagogical practices aimed at diversity and innovations that favor the learning of all students.
Distribution of Spots and Quotas
For the 2026 admission, the announcement offers 620 spots, with 517 for open competition and 103 reserved for affirmative actions.
The quotas are designated for self-declared black, brown, indigenous, quilombola candidates and people with disabilities, according to the regulations of each participating institution.

The spots are distributed among public universities and institutes that offer the course simultaneously.
They include the network: UEM, UEPG, UDESC, UNESPAR, UNESP, UNIFESP, UEMG, UNIMONTES, UEMA, UEPB, UPE, UERN, UNIVASF, IFCE, UNEAL, UFS, UNIFESSPA, UFRR, UNIFAP, IFAM, UNIR, UNEMAT, and UFMT.
The allocation by research line and by campus varies according to each HEI and is detailed in the annex of the announcement.
Main Dates of the Schedule
The application period runs from September 11 to 29, 2025. The generation of the payment slip can be done until September 30, observing the limit of 4:59 PM on the last day.
The confirmation of applications is scheduled to occur between October 1 and 14.
Subsequently, the document analysis with scoring, evaluation of the research project, and interview will take place.
Verification and heteroidentification panels will also be held when applicable. The disclosure of the final classification is scheduled for December 19, 2025.
How the Selection Will Be Conducted
The selection consists of eliminatory and classificatory stages. The process includes the submission of required documentation, the curricular scoring table, evaluation of the research project, and the interview.
In certain situations, verification/validation panels and heteroidentification will be conducted. All details, as well as deadlines for appeals, are described in the announcement.
Application and Fee
The application is made exclusively online, via seletivo.profei.com.br, by filling out the form and submitting the required documents. The fee is R$ 130.00, paid via a payment slip generated within the stipulated timeframe.
Among the mandatory documents are proof of active link in the public network and a declaration of effective practice signed by the school management.
With the network offering and a focus on continuous training for those in the classroom, the PROFEI aims to strengthen practices and concrete solutions for inclusion.
