In the current scenario of higher education, the search for accessible and quality professional qualification has become increasingly relevant.

For those who wish to enter a career in the administrative area without leaving home, the Federal University of Mato Grosso (UFMT) has announced the opening of registrations for its Bachelor’s Degree in Public Administration in the distance education (EAD) modality.

With a total of 150 free spots, the selection process is already underway and promises to be a unique opportunity for those who wish to enhance their knowledge and enter the public or private sector.

How The EAD Degree Will Be

The UFMT EAD Public Administration Degree aims to prepare professionals to work in governmental agencies, third sector companies, and other institutions that require efficient management.

The course is offered in a distance modality, allowing students to have the flexibility to attend classes and complete academic activities.

However, despite being predominantly remote, the course requires participation in mandatory in-person meetings, as determined by the Normative Ordinance MEC No. 11, of June 20, 2017.

According to the regulations, students must attend at least one in-person meeting each semester.

To facilitate access for students, meetings will take place at UFMT’s in-person poles, distributed in the cities of Campo Verde, Canarana, Colíder, Cuiabá, and Sorriso.

During these meetings, students will have the opportunity to conduct assessments, practical activities, and interact with professors and fellow students.

In addition to mandatory meetings, candidates must have availability of time and technological resources to attend synchronous classes and asynchronous content.

Having access to a computer with internet is essential for adequately following the course.

How Will The Selection Be Made?

The selection of candidates will be carried out through the analysis of the high school transcript, taking into account the student’s performance over three years in the subjects of Portuguese Language and Mathematics.

Another possibility to enter the course is the evaluation of the candidate’s performance in the National High School Exam (ENEM).

In this case, the results obtained in the areas of Languages, Codes and their Technologies and Mathematics and their Technologies will be considered.

There will be no in-person or online exams, making the admission process more accessible for those seeking an opportunity without having to travel for assessments.

Deadline For Registrations And Important Dates

Interested parties have until March 19, 2025 to register for the selection process. Additionally, the university has established a schedule with the main dates of the event.

  • Registration Period: 02/26/2025 to 03/19/2025
  • Request for waiver of the registration fee: 02/26/2025 to 02/28/2025
  • Disclosure of the results of the transcript analysis or ENEM scores: 03/31/2025
  • Publication of the final list of approved candidates: 04/10/2025

Candidates wishing to request a wavier of the registration fee must pay attention to the specific deadline, which runs from February 26 to 28, 2025.

How The Course Structure Will Be

The UFMT EAD Public Administration course was developed to meet market demands and the needs of Brazilian public administration.

During the years of study, students will have subjects focused on management, public policies, government budgeting, applied legislation, professional ethics, and innovation in public administration.
