Ferrari That Belonged to Donald Trump May Be Sold for Four Times the Original Price at Auction, Standing Out as a Luxury Item with Historical Value.
The Ferrari F430 Coupe in red that belonged to Donald Trump is back in the spotlight. The vehicle, purchased by the former president in 2007 for around US$ 197,000, has been put up for auction and may fetch a surprising price.
Industry experts believe that the car could be sold for up to four times its original value. The final price is expected to easily exceed the seven digits, meaning the car should be sold for over US$ 1 million.
The auction, hosted by Rockstar Auctions, began on February 16 and will run until March 9. According to the auction house, the car is more than just a luxury vehicle: it is a part of American history. “Donald J. Trump’s Ferrari F430 Coupe is not an ordinary luxury car — it’s a piece of American history,” highlighted Rockstar Auctions.

Trump’s model has been sold at auction twice in the past five years. The last time was three years ago, when it was sold for US$ 250,000. Now, interest in the Ferrari is greater. With only 9,000 miles (approx. 14,484 km) driven, the car remains in perfect condition, according to the organizers.

Ferrari F430 Coupe – A High-Performance Machine
The Ferrari F430 Coupe was produced between 2005 and 2009. The model features a 4.3-liter V8 engine capable of generating an impressive 483 horsepower. With this power, the car reaches a top speed of 315 km/h. Additionally, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in about 3.6 to 4 seconds.
The design also attracts attention. The car boasts the classic red color Rosso Corsa with beige leather interior. This combination is highly appreciated by fans of the brand. Despite this, the F430 was available in other colors and configurations during its production.
In the U.S., prices for used models can range from less than US$ 80,000 to over US$ 300,000, depending on mileage, year, and condition.
Trump’s car, however, stands out not only for its technical specifications. The history behind the vehicle and the former president’s signature on the original title significantly increase its market value.
The Connection to Trump and Interest in the Auction
Tony Rienzi, an auctioneer and classic car expert, believes that the interest in the car goes beyond automotive passion. According to him, “this car attracts both car enthusiasts and Trump fans.”

Rienzi predicts that the final price of the auction could be three to four times the original purchase price. This is partly due to Trump’s return to the political scene.
The expert also emphasized that most of the interested bidders will likely be Republicans. However, Rienzi does not rule out that Democrats who appreciate high-performance cars may also participate in the auction. “Some bidders may not even be passionate about cars — they just want a piece of Trump’s history,” he commented.
The car’s authenticity is reinforced by a series of additional items that come with the sale. Included are the original title signed by Trump, a warranty card, the original window sticker, a Ferrari car cover, seat covers, and a matching transport bag. Trump’s initials are also engraved on the car’s New York state plate.
The Value of Provenance in the Luxury Car Market
According to Rienzi, provenance is essential in the automotive market. “This doesn’t add direct monetary value, but provides authenticity and proof of ownership,” he explained. In a world where every detail can influence the final value, Trump’s previous ownership certainly elevates buyers’ interest.
Rockstar Auctions reinforced this aspect by describing the car. “Step into the legacy of Donald J. Trump, the 45th and 47th president of the United States, with the 2007 Ferrari F430 F1 Coupe, an automotive masterpiece with unparalleled historical significance,” stated the auction house.
Success and Failure Stories in the Market
While celebrity history can add value, Rienzi emphasizes that it doesn’t always translate to guaranteed success. He recalled an episode when he tried to sell a car that belonged to financier Bernie Madoff. The result was a failure. “When people heard his name, they ran,” said Rienzi.
In the case of Trump’s Ferrari, the scenario is different. The market timing, coupled with Trump’s political resurgence, makes this an opportune moment for sale.
Moreover, the car remains in impeccable condition, stored in climate-controlled conditions and with extremely low mileage.
With all these characteristics, the auction promises to be one of the most anticipated events for collectors and investors. After all, it is not just a Ferrari F430 Coupe, but an item with unique historical and symbolic value.
