Ford Escape Hybrid 2025 Delivers Up to 17 Km/L in the City, 200 HP and Integrated Alexa. Ford’s Hybrid SUV May Arrive in Brazil with Technological Package and Efficient Consumption.
The Ford Escape Hybrid 2025, available in the North American market, delivers up to 17.4 km/l in the city, a 200 hp engine, and a range of over 900 km. With an advanced technological package and updated design, the medium hybrid SUV could be one of the brand’s bets for the Brazilian market in the coming years.
The Escape Hybrid is equipped with a 2.5 Atkinson cycle engine paired with an electric motor and CVT transmission. This combination results in a total power of approximately 200 hp and an estimated urban fuel consumption of 17.4 km/l, according to the EPA (Environmental Protection Agency of the U.S.). In highway conditions, the model achieves 15.3 km/l.
The Ford hybrid system operates intelligently to switch between the two engines or use them together, depending on demand. The combined range exceeds 900 km, positioning the Escape among the most efficient hybrids in its category.

Updated Design and Interior with Integrated Alexa
The 2025 lineup brings subtle visual changes. In front, the grille has been redesigned, the headlights are narrower, and there is new detailing on the bumpers. The rear features LED taillights with a new layout. The wheels range from 17 to 19 inches, depending on the version.
Inside, the highlight is the new SYNC 4 multimedia center with a 13.2” screen and wireless connectivity for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. The SUV also offers a 12.3” digital dashboard and voice commands via Alexa, which interacts with home systems, routes, and vehicle functions.
Ford Hybrid SUV Offers Semi-Autonomous Driving
All hybrid versions of the Escape come with the Ford Co-Pilot360 safety package. Included are collision warning with automatic braking, lane-keeping assistance, blind-spot alert, adaptive cruise control, and sign recognition.
Some versions also come with BlueCruise assisted steering system, which allows level 2 semi-autonomous driving on pre-mapped highways, similar to what GM offers with Super Cruise.
Price in the U.S. and Viability in Brazil
In the United States, the Escape Hybrid starts at around US$ 33,000 and can exceed US$ 39,000 with all options and AWD. Converted to Brazilian reais and including taxes, Ford’s hybrid SUV would arrive in Brazil ranging from R$ 240,000 to R$ 270,000 — close to rivals like Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and Jeep Compass 4xe.
Ford has yet to confirm the sale of the Escape in Brazil, but there are indications. The model shares a platform with the Maverick pickup, which is already imported. The increasing electrification of the Brazilian market, especially in 2025, could make the launch of the Escape Hybrid a strategic move.
Without hybrid or electric models currently in Brazil, Ford sees in the Escape a chance to compete again in the medium segment with a technological, efficient proposal that aligns with global trends. Should it arrive here, the model could fill the gap between the Territory with combustion and the brand’s upcoming electric vehicles.
