Get to Know the Carolina Foundation
The Carolina Foundation (FC) was created by agreement of the Council of Ministers on September 22, 2000, focusing on promoting cultural relations and cooperation in educational and scientific matters between Spain and the countries of the Ibero-American Community of Nations and with others with special historical, cultural, and geographical ties. As an institution belonging to the Spanish cooperation system, the FC’s mandate integrated into its horizon the fulfillment of the United Nations’ Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
Since its creation, the core of the FC’s activities has been centered on training Ibero-American students and teachers by promoting their studies through graduate and doctoral scholarships, and in supporting research, which encompasses all areas of knowledge.
