New Samsung Model Combines Real-Time Translation, Spatial Audio, and Long-Lasting Battery in a Design Inspired by the Buds 3 Pro, But with a More Accessible Price and Focus on Artificial Intelligence Features.
Samsung introduced the Galaxy Buds 3 FE as its new option for wireless headphones with advanced features at a lower price.
The model arrives in the United States on September 4, 2025, with a suggested price of US$ 149.99 (about R$ 810 in direct conversion, excluding taxes).
The goal is to replicate part of the experience of the Buds 3 Pro for less, maintaining a “blade” stem design, integration with Galaxy AI, and high autonomy.

Launch and Price of the Galaxy Buds 3 FE
The Buds 3 FE will initially be available in the North American market for US$ 149.99, a price US$ 50 lower than the Buds 3 and higher than the original Buds FE.
The sale starts on September 4; the brand has not disclosed pricing or date for Brazil.
In the U.S., Samsung also offers a trade-in bonus: any headset, wired or wireless, can earn up to US$ 30 off.
Design with Matte Finish
Visually, the new FE replicates the slim silhouette of the Buds 3 Pro, with a angled stem that brings the microphones closer to the mouth to improve voice capture.
The finish is matte, in black or gray, with semi-transparent details on the stem.
The pinch and swipe gestures have been retained: pinch to control tracks and modes; swipe to adjust volume.
AI and Real-Time Translation
Among the highlights, the Buds 3 FE enables AI features when connected to a compatible Galaxy smartphone.

The Interpreter Mode allows for nearly real-time translation during conversations via the Galaxy AI Interpreter app.
Voice access to Gemini works with the command “Hey Google,” eliminating the need to unlock the phone.
Samsung emphasizes that availability depends on the app and the user’s account.
Spatial Audio and Clarity in Calls
In audio, the FE offers 24-bit Hi-Fi via Samsung Seamless Codec (SSC) on supported Galaxy devices, along with 360 Audio for spatiality in compatible content.
In calls, the Crystal Clear technology applies AI models to soften background noise and highlight the voice.
The set prioritizes simplicity with a single dynamic driver, seeking a good balance between clarity and bass.
Battery of Up to 30 Hours
Battery life is one of the strongest selling points. Each earphone delivers up to 6 hours with ANC on, or 8.5 hours with cancellation off.
Combined with the case, the duration reaches 30 hours with ANC off. With the feature active, the projected total is up to 24 hours.
The numbers come from Samsung and place the FE among the Galaxy Buds with the longest duration per charge.
Resistance and Comfort in Use
For daily use and light workouts, the new model brings IP54 certification for the earbuds, providing protection against dust and splashes.
It’s an improvement over the original Buds FE, which had IPX2. Each earbud weighs 5 g, while the case is around 41.8 g, combining to favor portability.
The FE is below the Buds 3 Pro in protection, as the top-of-the-line model is IP57.

Connectivity and Compatibility
The Buds 3 FE operates with Bluetooth 5.4 and supports the SSC, AAC, and SBC codecs. The Auto Switch feature makes it easy to switch between Galaxy devices.
The Find My Earbuds helps locate the earbuds. Samsung has not mentioned, for now, support for Auracast/LE Audio.
Gesture Controls Integrated into the Galaxy Ecosystem
In addition to pinch-to-play and swipe for volume, pairing can be done directly in the case via a dedicated button.
Functions like Ambient Sound, active noise cancellation, and calls with AI voice isolation complete the package.
The model also offers automatic switching and integration with quick panels on Samsung’s Android.
Differences Between Buds 3 FE and Buds 3 Pro
Although they share design and some AI features, there are differences. The Buds 3 Pro includes IP57 certification, extra audio features like adaptive equalization, and other hardware and software upgrades.
The FE, on the other hand, bets on a lower price and total battery life of up to 30 hours, maintaining translation, 360 audio, and gesture commands that were already present in the pricier models.
Still without a price and date for Brazil, the Galaxy Buds 3 FE arrives with the goal of democratizing voice translation, spatial audio, and long battery life in a compact format familiar to those who already use a Galaxy.
