This balance between natural foraging and supplementation ensures firmer meat and eggs with orange yolks, attributes valued in supermarkets and restaurants. To reduce disease risks, the chicken coops are moved every 3 to 5 days by tractors, providing the birds with between 1 to 2 m² of space for movement.

Layer hens begin laying eggs around the fifth month of life. The nests, located about 40 cm off the ground, are lined with dry straw and positioned in the corners of the barns. Collection occurs twice a day, reaching up to 8,000 eggs daily in properties with 10,000 birds.

Each unit undergoes visual inspection and candle test to check for cracks. Approved eggs receive a production date and proceed to the market. The control includes weekly tests for antibiotic residues, along with constant adjustments to the diet based on productivity.

Broilers reach 2 to 2.5 kg between the fourth and fifth months. Before slaughter, feeding is suspended for 12 hours. Transportation to processing centers occurs in breathable boxes, ensuring welfare and food safety.

The system of free-range chickens yields significant results. A batch of 20,000 broilers can generate over US$ 100,000 in net profit, while egg sales can move around US$ 800,000 per year, depending on production scale and local market.

In addition to financial gain, the method reduces feed costs by up to 50%, utilizing agricultural waste as inputs. Structures like mobile chicken coops increase protection against predators, provide thermal comfort, and reinforce the sustainable image of production.
