Petrobras Information on Gasoline Prices

Petrobras reduced diesel and gasoline prices last week and this Friday, amid a drop in oil prices in the international market due to fears of the impact of a new coronavirus outbreak in China on oil demand.

In an interview, Petrobras’ assistant administrator said: “As long as this threat is imminent to human life, many people will remain sheltered in their homes; thus, we will not have many workers, as the priority is human life”.

Thus, Petrobras’ diesel has accumulated a 10% decrease this year, while gasoline has decreased approximately 7% so far in 2020. At the pumps, gasoline was sold at an average of 4.580 reais per liter this week, a decrease of 0.3% compared to the previous week, interrupting a streak of increases.

As is commonly known, diesel is the most used fuel in Brazil. It was sold at an average of 3.778 reais per liter, a decrease of 0.58%, also interrupting a series of weekly increases.
