Oil Multinational Modec Will Generate 600 Jobs in Brazil to Complete Works on FPSOs Under Construction
Good news for shipbuilding in Brazil, multinational Modec estimates that by 2024 it will generate 600 new jobs for onshore and offshore areas in the country, a 25% expansion of its workforce.
Currently, the oil multinational operates 10 FPSOs in Brazil and is constructing five more platforms for the Brazilian offshore market.
On its way to Brazil, the FPSO Carioca MV30 will be the first unit to begin operations; the platform ship will produce in the Sépia field, an area of the onerous assignment in the Santos Basin operated by Petrobras.
