General Motors Is Ready For Its Electric Vehicles To Hit The Automotive Market In 2023, And One Of The First Will Be The Electric SUV Equinox
The automaker released a teaser video on Monday (21) for its planned electric car for 2024, the Chevrolet Equinox, a vehicle first announced in January during the Consumer Electronics Show 2022 by General Motors CEO Mary Barra. The electric brand SUV will be on sale in the fall of 2023, with a starting price of around US$ 30,000. Barra also confirmed plans for an electric version of the larger Chevrolet Blazer crossover during her presentation at CES. Since then, we learned that the electric Blazer will also have a sporty SS variant. The electric Blazer is also expected for 2023.
General Motors’ New Bet Arrives In The Automotive Market With Attractive Design And Cutting-Edge Technology
Notably, General Motors’ new bet is an Entry-Level Electric SUV, featuring an attractive design with a thin upper light strip in the front and two lights below in a closed edge that looks like a grille.
The flared fenders in the front with wide hips in the rear give an athletic stance, and the uncut rear roofline provides a different look for the entry-level electric SUV. The automaker has not yet released details about the range of the Chevrolet SUV Equinox, although it is built on GM’s Ultium platform.

General Motors’ New Battery Platform For Electric Cars Promises More Than 600 Km Of Range
The Ultium platform and batteries are capable of more than 600 km of range in the right applications (depending on vehicle and battery size), according to GM.
Given the mass-market nature of the Chevrolet Equinox and its price, GM’s new electric could operate on Ultium’s 400-volt electrical architecture, with fast charging capabilities of up to (and possibly more than) 200 kilowatts.
Ultium batteries range from 50 to 200 kilowatt-hours, with the largest vehicles, like the Chevrolet Silverado EV and the GMC Hummer EV, utilizing the largest 200 kWh packs, while the Cadillac Lyric will launch with a 100 kWh pack.
Chevrolet Electric SUV Equinox Will Arrive In Brazil With Cutting-Edge Technologies
Inside, the electric SUV Equinox will share its technology and design with the Silverado, including what appears to be an 11.0-inch digital instrument panel and a 17.0-inch central touchscreen. GM’s fantastic hands-free driver assistance system, Super Cruise, may be on the options list.
You can check out the new Equinox EV video above, the entry-level SUV from General Motors that will arrive in Brazil in 2023. Chevrolet recently updated the electric vehicle section of its website to include the new video of the blue and white Equinox SUV in two tones. The short teaser also shows the front and rear lights of the Equinox circling the vehicle’s edges.
While we do not yet have further specifications, we know that the Equinox will arrive in 2023. If the Equinox RS is coming, the Equinox EV, however, is still a while away. According to GM, the electric SUV will reach dealerships only in the second quarter of 2023. This is in the US. Here, it will arrive later, possibly between 2024 and 2025. The utility will stem from GM’s new platform for electrics that uses Ultium batteries, developed and built by the automaker. In November 2021, GM inaugurated “Factory Zero”.
Headquartered in Detroit-Hamtramck (USA), the unit received a US$ 2.2 billion investment to produce the company’s 100% electric vehicles. For example, the GMC Hummer EV in SUV and pickup versions, and the Cruise Origin, the automaker’s level 5 autonomous vehicle.
