According to the mother, Amanda Garcia, the test was conducted individually and monitored. She reported that the family was surprised by the result. Upon receiving the news of the bronze medal, they celebrated the 4-year-old’s achievement.

Early Development Identified as Early as the First Year

According to the family, signs of cognitive development appeared as early as the first year of life. Pietra started walking at nine months and showed prolonged attention in activities.

At 1 year and 2 months, she had already memorized the alphabet in Portuguese and English. Shortly after, she began the process of reading in both languages, as reported by her relatives.

Participation in educational activities and academic challenges became part of the routine as her abilities were identified and monitored.

National Record Certified in 2024

In 2024, Pietra had a result certified by RankBrasil after spelling 32 words in one minute, a mark registered as the national record in the category.

Among the terms presented were two disyllabic words, 19 trisyllabic words, and 11 polysyllabic words, including one with six syllables.

The average time for spelling was approximately 1.8 seconds per word, according to the official record.

Pietra Garcia Accumulates Achievements in Sequence at 4 Years Old

The medal at the International Smeta Olympiad adds to the already certified national spelling record. At 4 years old, Pietra has participated in academic challenges aimed at developing logical reasoning and mathematical understanding.

The evaluations conducted in the Olympiad are applied in a monitored manner, with individual participation from competitors, reinforcing the formal nature of the international competition.
