Free IFMA Specialization will have online classes
The course was structured to train professionals capable of working in inclusive educational contexts, focusing on special education, accessibility, diversity, and pedagogical practices adapted to the needs of different students.
Although the selection accepts graduates from all areas, the training is directly related to the work of teachers, pedagogues, school managers, and professionals who work or intend to work with inclusion in the educational environment.
Activities will be offered entirely in a virtual environment, via Moodle.
To complete the specialization, students must complete the disciplines, achieve the minimum required grade, and prepare the Course Completion Work.
At the end of the training, approved candidates will receive a **Specialization Certificate in Special and Inclusive Education**, accompanied by their academic transcript, provided they meet all academic requirements set out in the public notice.
Who can compete for one of the 50 places
The selection is open to holders of a graduation diploma in any area of knowledge, provided the course is recognized by the Ministry of Education.
IFMA also provides priority for licensed candidates in case of a tie in the final classification.
The selection of participants will be made by documented curriculum analysis.
The process considers academic background, professional experience, and proven activities, according to the criteria established in the Campus Timon public notice.
Of the total places, 34 are for general competition.
Another 10 places are reserved for black and brown candidates, 3 for indigenous people, and 3 for people with disabilities, following the affirmative action policy provided in the selection.
Self-declared black and brown candidates will undergo a heteroidentification procedure.
For indigenous people and people with disabilities, the public notice requires the submission of supporting documentation according to the specific rules of each reservation modality.
IFMA Selection Process Schedule
The public notice sets registrations between May 8 and 31, 2026.
The heteroidentification stage for black and brown candidates is scheduled to occur between June 1 and 11, 2026, according to the disclosed schedule.
The provisional result of the selection process is scheduled for June 18, 2026.
The final result is expected to be published on June 24, with enrollments scheduled between June 25 and July 9, 2026.
The inaugural class is scheduled for August 12, 2026.
From this stage, selected students begin distance learning, organized into modules and with monitoring via the virtual platform adopted by the institute.
Inclusive education gains ground in postgraduate studies
The specialization in Special and Inclusive Education meets a growing demand for training professionals prepared to deal with different educational needs in the daily life of educational institutions.
The proposal involves content related to accessibility, inclusion, educational support, pedagogical planning, and strategies aimed at the participation of students with disabilities, developmental disorders, and other conditions that require specific attention.
In addition to basic education teachers, the training may be of interest to professionals in areas such as social work, psychology, public management, and other fields related to assisting people in inclusive educational contexts.
The EaD (Distance Learning) offering expands the reach of the course, as it allows the participation of candidates who do not reside in Timon or who need to balance specialization with work and other activities.
IFMA Call for Applications Gathers Selection Rules and Stages
All selection rules are concentrated in the call for applications published by IFMA Campus Timon and its rectification documents.
Official updates to the selection process must be followed on the institution’s contests and selections page.
As the selection is made by curriculum analysis, the prior organization of documents can directly influence the candidate’s participation.
Proof of documents that do not meet the required standard or are sent incompletely may compromise the score or the validation of the application.
IFMA also informs that candidates classified beyond the number of vacancies may form a waiting list, according to the rules provided for the selection process.
In this case, the call depends on the availability of vacancies and the progress of enrollments.
The free specialization in Special and Inclusive Education reinforces the public offering of postgraduate studies aimed at continuing education, in an area directly linked to the challenges of retention, learning, and participation of students in education networks.
