Free Biosafety Courses in Rio Grande do Sul Available Until July 31, 2021
The Ministry of Tourism continues to offer free course opportunities for the training of professionals in the sector and to help them adapt to new sanitary protocols, thus ensuring safety for workers and tourists in the resumption of activities with the aid of biosafety. In this regard, the government, through a partnership with the Federal Institute of Rio Grande do Sul (IFRS), is offering three free online courses in the area of biosafety.

Free Courses Offered by the Government in Rio Grande do Sul
The qualification “Hygienization and Safety in Hospitality Venues,” offered by the government in Rio Grande do Sul, aims to train professionals and managers working in hotels, inns, temporary house rentals, among others, regarding new hygiene and safety norms and procedures in the sector. Topics covered include the “Responsible, Clean, and Safe Tourism” seal from the Ministry of Tourism, which establishes safety protocols for 15 tourism segments. The course guidelines aim to help restore confidence among tourists, guests, and employees, as well as assist in reducing the spread of the virus.
The free course “Good Practices in Food Handling in the Service Sector During the Covid-19 Pandemic” addresses the importance of using Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as gloves and masks; food handling; the proper arrangement of the environment, tables, and positioning of people to ensure everyone’s safety; in addition to the current legislation for food service.

Petrobras and SENAI open 480 spots in free technical courses with a scholarship of up to R$ 858, meal allowance, and training in Mechanics, Welding, Metallurgy, and Industrial Automation to meet the growing demand of the industry and the oil and gas sector.

Take a technical course at the Federal Institute: there are over 950 open spots in free technical courses in Logistics, Mechanics, Baking, Building Construction, and Renewable Energy Systems at IFPI.

The state of Paraná offers 3,500 free technical course slots in 2026 and begins a new phase of professional training with enrollment open until June 30, strengthening workforce development in sectors that drive the regional economy.
Also in this area, the complementary course “Hygiene and Food Quality Control” discusses the theme of producing safe food for consumers, including the principles and requirements of good manufacturing practices; the implementation of the Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points system in processing lines; and the regulation and standardization of food quality.
About Course Registrations Offered by the Government in Rio Grande do Sul
Open for registration until June 30, the free courses offered by the government in Rio Grande do Sul must be completed by July 31, 2021, which is also the final deadline for the issuance of certificates. To receive the document, students must achieve a minimum final average of 60%.
