The Ambitious Infrastructure Plan of the MT Government That Has Already Delivered 209 Bridges and Begins New Works on 4 Strategic Highways.
Focusing on enhancing mobility and ensuring traffic safety, the Government of Mato Grosso has opened four new bidding processes for the construction of bridges and paving of state highways.
In total, the planned investment is R$ 150 million, totaling 50 kilometers of asphalt and two new concrete structures.
These actions reinforce the State’s commitment to regional development, especially in areas with poor access, such as North Araguaia.

Asphalt Advances Between Novo Santo Antônio and São Félix do Araguaia
The main focus of the new package is on the MT-100 highway, between the municipalities of Novo Santo Antônio and São Félix do Araguaia, where a stretch of 34.8 km will be paved.
The work represents the first phase of the paving of MT-100 and is estimated at approximately R$ 104 million.
The region is one of the most underserved in terms of infrastructure in the State. Currently, São Félix do Araguaia has no access via paved road, compromising local logistics and production flow.
With the new project, the municipality will have paved connection to Novo Santo Antônio, which is already connected to BR-158 via MT-322.
However, the paving of BR-158 — the responsibility of the Federal Government — is still awaited to enable continuous access to North Araguaia.
The bid for this project is scheduled for June 6, at 9 am, through the Government Procurement System (Siag).
Novo Mundo Will Also Be Contemplated With Asphalt
Another stretch that will receive improvements is MT-322, in Novo Mundo, in the northern region of Mato Grosso.
The state government will pave 15.4 km of the highway, between MT-419 and the Braço do Norte River.
The goal is to facilitate traffic and strengthen local logistics, especially for agribusiness.
The reference value for this project is R$ 34.9 million, and the bidding will take place on June 5, at 9 am, also through Siag.
Government Announces Construction of Bridges to Replace Old Wooden Structures
In addition to paving, the Government of MT also announced the construction of two concrete bridges in strategic locations, replacing old wooden crossings and ensuring greater safety and durability.
The first will be built over the Sangradouro Stream, on the border between Cáceres and Nossa Senhora do Livramento, on MT-160.
The bridge will be 59 meters long, with an estimated investment of R$ 3.5 million. The bidding is set for June 2, at 9 am, at Siag.
The second structure will be erected on MT-499, between the municipalities of Rosário Oeste and Nova Brasilândia, over the Ribeirão Aricá stream. It will be 51 meters long, with access execution totaling 1.12 km, and an estimated value of R$ 7 million. The bidding will open on June 3.
Record Investments in Highways and Bridges Across the State
The new works are part of the largest investment package in infrastructure in the history of Mato Grosso.
According to data from the State Department of Infrastructure and Logistics (Sinfra), in the last six years, the State has:
- Built 4,620.5 km of new asphalt on state highways;
- Paved 2,981.3 km of urban roads;
- Is currently executing 1,448.8 km;
- Delivered 209 concrete bridges and has another 74 under construction.
These actions total investments exceeding R$ 56.7 million just in bridge construction.
According to official sources, the projects reflect the commitment of the Government of MT to provide quality infrastructure for all Mato Grosso residents.
The actions not only facilitate circulation between municipalities but also strengthen the economy, reduce travel time, and generate direct and indirect jobs across the state.
