This Wednesday (14), the government of the state of São Paulo announced the creation of a new program named Bolsa do Povo Educação. The program will offer more than 20,000 job openings for the guardians of students in the state public education network. Thus, through the program, the government is providing openings to those who wish to work in schools with a scholarship of R$ 500 per month for 4 hours of work per day, until December.

The program that promotes job openings is open to all guardians of students who meet the following requirements: Be unemployed for at least three months; Be aged between 18 to 59 years; Be the legal guardian of a student in the state network (One guardian per family); Live close to the school unit (within a two-kilometer radius); Be registered in CadÚnico; Have a child studying at the school of interest.
How to Apply for Job Openings in São Paulo
The guardians of students who wish to participate in the government program of São Paulo must register on the Bolsa do Povo website. When accessing the candidate’s page, you should click on “Educação” and then on the “inscreva-se” box.

It is worth mentioning that registrations will take place from July 19 to 31. When registering for the job openings, the following documents will be required:
- ID/CPF of the student’s family member
- Address
- Student’s Registration Number
- Three schools of interest
It is also important to remember that those who do not have internet access, or have difficulty registering online, can use the nearest school to their home to complete the registration.

The Bolsa do Povo Educação aims to assist families in overcoming financial and educational challenges that arose due to the worsening of the pandemic and also to increase community involvement in schools, reinforcing the bond between education staff, students, and teachers.
With the program, the Government of São Paulo will provide new jobs, generate income for a large portion of unemployed professionals, and expand professional qualification.
According to Rossieli Soares, State Secretary of Education, the program is an essential measure for both schools and families in greatest need. According to the Secretary, the government has been working hard to assist everyone, mainly in school meals, serving food to students.
