The Secretary of State of Maranhão (Seduc) is offering 167 courses, with 6,330 spots for teenagers, youth, and adults for initial and continuing education or workshops, focusing on professional qualification. The courses, held in 44 municipalities, are part of the training axis of the Young Workers Program, which includes youth from public schools. Details of the Young Workers Program in the State of Maranhão
The initiative that will offer free courses through the “Young Workers Program” was established by the Government of the State of Maranhão, bringing together initiatives from the Secretary of State for Labor and Solidarity Economy (Setres), Secretary of State for Industry, Commerce, and Energy (Seinc), Secretary of State for Education (Seduc), and the Secretary of State Extraordinary for Youth (Seejuv).

Enrollment for the free courses began at the start of the semester; however, it was suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Nevertheless, the courses/workshops will be held following all biosafety protocols established by health authorities.
