The US renews the license for the 759-megawatt Robinson nuclear power plant for another 20 years, until 2050, ensuring energy for 570,000 homes, nearly 500 jobs, and reinforcing Duke Energy’s plan to extend its 11 nuclear units.
Thiago Gomes, country manager of Deye for Brazil, Italy, and Spain, emphasized the strategic importance of this initiative. He highlighted that the establishment of the factory will enable Deye to compete more effectively in the national and South American markets, as well as offer more advantageous tax solutions to its clients. The forecast is that the factory will generate around one thousand direct and indirect jobs, significantly contributing to the local economy.
New Factory in Manaus
The decision to establish the factory in Manaus is directly linked to the tax and logistical benefits offered by the Manaus Free Trade Zone (ZFM). The factory will be Deye’s first unit outside of China, reflecting the company’s global strategy to expand its production capacity and regionalization. Initially, production will focus on batteries, with plans to expand to the manufacture of inverters and, later, air conditioners.
Caio Lentini, Operations Director of Deye for Brazil, Italy, and Spain, highlighted that Deye already operates in more than 150 countries and is a market leader in many of them, including Brazil, the United States, Germany, South Africa, and other Asia-Pacific countries. The choice of Manaus not only aligns with the company’s growth objectives but also strengthens trade relations between Brazil and China.
The Superintendent of Suframa, Bosco Saraiva, reaffirmed the Autarchy’s support for new investments that promote the development of the region. “Suframa is always open to initiatives that drive the economic growth of the Manaus Industrial Pole. Deye’s decision to establish its first international factory here reflects the competitiveness and advantages we offer,” said Saraiva.
The establishment of Deye’s factory in Manaus represents an important milestone for the local industry and the Brazilian economy. In addition to creating jobs and income, the new unit will strengthen Brazil’s position as an industrial hub in South America, serving both the local and international markets.

O Brasil é o presente e o futuro.
