Grupo GPA, which owns Extra and Pão de Açúcar, has several job opportunities in some states of the country
The country’s economic crisis forces Brazilians to take advantage of the job openings available. GPA, the group that controls the Pão de Açúcar and Extra chains, has 38 job vacancies open in various areas across the country.
The company is looking for professionals in store service, maintenance, logistics, HR, sales, commercial, and auditing. The vacancies are available in the following states: Rio de Janeiro, DF, Tocantins, and São Paulo. The opportunities were announced on the Infojobs website.

Small Businesses Lead the Generation of New Jobs
Despite job openings at Pão de Açúcar and Extra, data from Sebrae show that nearly 72% of formal jobs in July came from micro and small businesses. Large companies were responsible for 23.3% of the job opportunities generated in the country.
Sebrae defines a microenterprise as a company with up to 9 employees in the commerce, agriculture, and services sectors. In the industry, micro enterprises are those with up to 19 employees.
Data from Caged show that in 2021, a total of 1.8 million job openings were created. Micro enterprises were responsible for 70% of these jobs created.
