The Ecovagas project, which has already been used by the company Volvo, is developing, for Stellantis, a semi-public charging network for electric and plug-in hybrid cars. The company will be primarily responsible for making the 200 charging points available to future users of Stellantis electric vehicles.
Ecovagas is responsible for managing the largest semi-public charging network of Estapar in the Northeast, South, Southeast, and Federal District regions. The installed points are equipped with Enel X technology and provide smart charging that fills the electric car to 80% in about 3 hours, depending on the model.

State of Logistics 2026 opens a survey in Brazil to map technology, electrification, sustainability, and logistics bottlenecks in Latin America.
This initiative is part of an automotive company’s strategy to “electrify” the country, as the first step is to expand the charging infrastructure for plug-in hybrid electric cars.
According to Breno Kamei, the head of Programs and Product Planning for South America at Stellantis, this partnership is part of several company initiatives to prepare a base of electric cars even before they are sold.
Installation of Stellantis Charging Systems Will Arrive in 2021
In light of the abundant growth of the ecosystem, the estimate is that the charging points for electric and plug-in hybrid cars will be installed in the country by the end of this year. The 200 Ecovagas mentioned earlier will be set up in this first semester, with possibilities for additional points to be installed later.
The Ecovagas will focus on airports, arenas, shopping centers, hospitals, commercial buildings, and some educational institutions. They will initially be installed in 23 cities across 10 states, including São Paulo, Barueri, Belo Horizonte, Guarulhos, Rio de Janeiro, Curitiba, Recife, Aracaju, Brasília, Salvador, Fortaleza, and Campinas. The charging points can be used by all electric cars with a standard American type 2 plug, which is also used in Brazil.
