Domestic device bets on versatility, precision, and water resistance to expand autonomy in personal care, gathering multiple adjustments, specialized accessories, and long battery life in a single kit focused on everyday use, with the proposal to reduce frequent visits to the salon.

Xiaomi has launched the Mijia Hair Clipper 2 Set in the Chinese market, a new version of its hair clipper aimed at home use, focusing on increasing the precision of the finish and reducing dependence on frequent salon visits.

The device comes with 19 length adjustment options, two speed modes, a washable structure with IPX7 certification, and a battery with a declared autonomy of up to 180 minutes, in addition to a set of accessories that expands its use for contours, sideburns, and smaller areas.

Complete kit expands home use

The launch signals an attempt by the brand to position the product beyond the basic function of trimming hair, betting on a more complete kit for those seeking maintenance at home with some level of detailing.

In practice, the proposal combines the main body of the Hair Clipper 2 with additional accessories aimed at more precise cuts, which include pieces intended for areas such as the hairline, sides, and finishing around the ears.

The initial distribution was announced for China, with no official confirmation about sales in other markets.

Blades with titanium and less friction

Among the most highlighted differentials is the coating in titanium carbide on the extra accessories, presented as a feature to reduce friction and heating during use.

Xiaomi also states, in the Hair Clipper 2 line, that the set of blades combines high-hardness materials and solutions aimed at improving cutting durability, promising a more stable experience in longer sessions.

Although part of this performance comes from manufacturer data, the brand maintains that there has been an improvement in wear resistance compared to the previous generation.

Cutting adjustments and levels of precision

In practical use, the device offers a wide range of adjustments for different cutting styles.

According to Xiaomi, there are five fine adjustment levels on the blade and an additional 14 levels with adjustable combs, totaling the 19 lengths disclosed in the promotional material.

In the Hair Clipper 2, these ranges cover from closer cuts, in the range of 0.5 mm to 1.7 mm, to larger options with the combs, which reach higher measurements for those who prefer to maintain more volume.

The manufacturer also highlights increments of 2 mm in the combs, which favors gradual adjustments during cutting.

Two speed modes and jam prevention system

Xiaomi adds that the product operates with two speeds, one softer and the other stronger, designed for different types of hair.

In the international material for the Hair Clipper 2, the lighter mode is indicated for fine hair, while the more powerful mode is associated with thicker and denser strands.

The set also features a system described by the company as jam prevention, capable of automatically adjusting the tension to reduce jams during use, although the brand itself emphasizes that the result may vary depending on hair type and battery level.

Use in the shower and water resistance

Another point that adds to the convenience proposal is water resistance.

The IPX7 certification allows the body of the device to be washed under running water, which simplifies cleaning after use and helps explain why Xiaomi considers the model suitable even for humid environments, such as the bathroom.

At the same time, the company makes an important note in the technical material: although it can be rinsed directly under the tap, the clipper should not be left submerged.

This detail reduces exaggerations about the sealing and sets clear limits for everyday use.

Long-lasting battery and digital display

In terms of autonomy, Xiaomi reports that the battery supports up to three hours of continuous operation on a full charge, equivalent to 180 minutes in powerful mode in tests conducted by the manufacturer.

The device also features a digital display, used to show the battery level and other status indicators, such as operating mode, maintenance, and transport lock.

Charging can be done via USB and USB-C, which increases compatibility with more common power sources in daily life.

Price and initial availability

The set of accessories reinforces the ambition to transform the product into a more versatile kit.

In addition to the clipper itself, the Hair Clipper 2 line includes adjustable combs, a cleaning brush, a charging cable, a cutting cape, and a sponge, while the Set version adds pieces aimed at precision finishing and more defined designs.

This package brings the device closer to semi-professional use at home, especially for those who want to keep sides aligned, reduce intervals between cuts, or take care of details without relying solely on scissors and razors.

Still, the manufacturer does not position the model as a formal substitute for professional barbering tools.

In the Chinese market, the Mijia Hair Clipper 2 Set was launched for 189 yuan.

So far, there is no official confirmation regarding international pricing, expansion timeline, or arrival in Brazil.

With this, the product enters circulation first as a brand’s bet in the connected personal care segment related to home routines, in a category where practicality, simple maintenance, and a variety of adjustments tend to weigh more than promises of technology alone.
