Speeding And Risky Maneuver
The investigation indicated that the driver attempted to swerve from another vehicle while driving at high speed. In the attempt, he lost control, crashed into the roadside barrier, and fell into a ravine. Despite the impact, the car remained upright but sustained severe damage.
The Police reiterated in a statement that Geiger Grade is not a racetrack and warned drivers to respect speed limits to ensure safety.
Arrest And Irreversible Damage
The 32-year-old driver was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and possession of a firearm while intoxicated.
He was taken to the Storey County Detention Center. The name released by the authorities matches that of the Tuner Cult raffle winner.
Regarding the vehicle, the damage was extensive. The rear window was broken, the protective structure was exposed, and the engine cover was damaged.
The front and rear parts of the car came off, and all the lights were destroyed. A model valued at around 175 thousand dollars ended up practically total loss.
