Currently, registrations for the next Fatecs entrance exam are open until June 6, with the application date scheduled for June 29. This initiative offers an excellent opportunity for those looking to enter a public and free university, but raises an important question: why are so many positions still left vacant?

According to Professor Melina Hara, director of Fatec Tatuapé, the network offers free training tailored to market demands, such as management, infrastructure, information technology, design, and transportation. Melina highlights that these are excellent higher education courses that prepare students directly for the job market. The registration fee for the entrance exam is R$ 50, and there is no tuition fee.

Despite public and free universities in São Paulo offering quality education, many positions remain vacant, especially in the morning and afternoon periods. According to the professor, this happens because the majority of students work during the day and opt for night courses. Positions in the evening shifts tend to fill up quickly. In the other periods, it is common to see public universities with open positions.

Still, the director assures that these opportunities will not be lost. These positions can be filled subsequently, as remaining vacancies. Students will always have the opportunity to study at a quality public and free university.

It is important to mention that pursuing a degree at Fatec can be advantageous, especially for those seeking a technical and practical education focused on the job market. The institution is known for offering courses that meet the specific demands of industries and service sectors, preparing highly qualified professionals.

Registration to participate in the selection process is simple via the Fatec website. The page provides all information, available courses, and guidance on how to prepare. For those who took the Provão Paulista, there is also the possibility of competing for second-semester spots directly, without the need to go through the traditional entrance exam.

At Fatec Tatuapé, for example, courses such as building construction, project management, land transport, and product design are offered, all with high employability rates. It is worth mentioning that 20,020 opportunities are available.

Of that total, 12,550 are offered through the traditional entrance exam and the rest through the Provão Paulista. The programs are distributed across 82 units throughout the state of São Paulo, with 96 different options in various fields.

At the time of registration, it is possible to select a main option and a second option at any unit. The requirement to participate is to have completed or be currently enrolled in high school, which must be proven at the time of registration.
