Meet The New Hunter Pickup That Delivers Over 1 Thousand Km Range. The Chinese Electric Pickup Delivers 269 Horsepower
The electric pickup with the longest range in the automotive market was presented in China by Changan and has an incredible range of 1,031 km. The model was unveiled at the Guangzhou Auto Show in 2023, however, now the Hunter pickup has received a long-range version.
Electric Pickup Features 269 Horsepower
The long-range Hunter pickup is available with one or two electric motors. The single-motor version delivers 174 horsepower and features a motor mounted on the rear axle. The all-wheel-drive versions come with two electric motors, one in the front and another in the rear, boosting the electric pickup’s power to 268 horsepower. Both versions have the same range and come with a 2.0-liter turbocharged engine that acts as a generator for electricity.
The lithium iron phosphate battery of 31.8 kWh alone offers an electric range of 180 km based on Chinese testing standards (CLTC). The key to its generous range is the combination with the combustion engine.
