Hyundai PALISADE 2025: The luxury SUV that arrived in Brazil with everything, but is already falling behind
The 2025 Hyundai PALISADE arrived in Brazil at the end of 2024, bringing all its grandeur, luxury and interior space to compete in the premium SUV market. Despite being impressive, it came with a high price tag and is already at risk of depreciating due to the new generation launched abroad.

With a 3.8 V6 engine, space for eight people and high-standard finish, the Hyundai PALISADE 2025 impresses, but its high price and the arrival of the new generation already raise doubts as to whether it really is a good choice.

The 2025 Hyundai PALISADE has arrived in Brazil as a true SUV giant. With a respectable V6 engine, space for up to eight people and luxurious finish, it seems like the perfect choice for those seeking comfort and sophistication. But is it worth the investment? Let's uncover the highs and lows of this SUV so you can decide if it really is the ideal car for you.

Design and luxury – The look that impresses

The 2025 Hyundai PALISADE doesn't go unnoticed. Its robust front end, with piano black details and full LED lighting, conveys modernity and elegance. Even the brand's symbol has been highlighted with a refined touch. At the rear, the look continues to be impressive, with a wide space in the trunk and configuration options for up to eight seats. It's the kind of car that attracts attention wherever it goes.

Inside the PALISADE, comfort is evident. The third row of seats accommodates passengers with more space than many competing SUVs. The interior finish combines high-quality materials with cutting-edge technology, including USB ports in every row and even a microphone for easy communication with those in the back.

V6 engine and performance – Is this Hyundai strong or just looking good?

The arrival of the Hyundai PALISADE 2025 in Brazil marked the debut of the giant SUV in the national market, full of technology and comfort. However, the launch came at the wrong time, as the model has already received an update abroad.
The arrival of the Hyundai PALISADE 2025 in Brazil marked the debut of the giant SUV in the national market, full of technology and comfort. However, the launch came at the wrong time, as the model has already received an update abroad.

Under the hood, we find a 3.8 V6 naturally aspirated engine with direct injection, capable of generating 295 horsepower. It is a reliable and well-known engine, but it does not impresses in performance due to the weight of the vehicle. 0 to 100 km/h is done in 7,8 seconds, which is decent, but far from exciting.

Be prepared to fill up frequently. In the city, fuel consumption is around 5,5 km/l, while on the highway it can reach 10 km/l if you drive moderately. It is a high cost, but expected for an SUV of this size with a naturally aspirated engine.

Technology and connectivity – Modern, but with limitations

The 2025 Hyundai PALISADE comes with a full-featured multimedia system, but with one frustrating limitation: Android Auto and Apple CarPlay support only via cable. In a car in this price range, this seems outdated. Still, features like a 360-degree camera and intelligent driving modes are positive points.

In terms of safety, the model does not disappoint. It has adaptive cruise control, lane keeping assist and four-wheel disc brakes. However, it lacks blind spot warnings on the exterior mirrors, something common in competing models.

The problem with the Hyundai PALISADE 2025 in Brazil

The PALISADE lands in Brazil with a price tag of approximately R$450. The big problem is that, abroad, the model is already receiving a complete update in 2025. This means that those who buy now may face a significant depreciation when the new generation arrives.

When considering options such as the Toyota Highlander and Land Rover Defender, the PALISADE offers good value for money in the large SUV range. However, the competition with diesel or hybrid engines may be more interesting for those looking for economy and more advanced technology.

The 2025 Hyundai PALISADE is an impressive SUV in many ways, but its high price tag and the imminent arrival of a new generation are red flags. If you value interior space and comfort, it could be a good option. However, for those who prefer a more up-to-date or fuel-efficient model, it might be worth waiting or consider alternatives on the market.

It's a very impressive car... the feeling of sophistication and exclusivity are its highlights. The price is questionable... but not far from what competitors are asking. As for the new generation, I don't think it will happen (anytime soon... 2 years at least...) and, since it will be imported, I believe the new Santa Fe will come. I expect sales volume (first batch of 1 cars) to be close to 100-350 cars sold by the end of 400. It will be one of those exclusive cars... and enthusiasts of the brand. The import of only one model... and it's not the top of the line... is another element that greatly limits its sales action. It could have opted for the all-black line and 2026 and 7 seats... this small flexibility would already draw a lot of attention... and would increase interest in the product.
