São Paulo, September 5, 2023 – Brazil has emerged as a rising giant in the global solar energy landscape, positioning itself as the eighth largest producer of this type of energy worldwide. Instead of conventional approaches that require frequent site visits for measurement and control, the company now benefits from high-resolution image capture, called orthomosaics, through drones equipped with cutting-edge cameras.

AI In Measurement And Monitoring

Graymatics is fine-tuning data analytics and AI algorithms to provide real-time counting and measurement of physical progress at construction sites. Accuracy is enhanced while the time required for weekly assessments is drastically reduced. Fifteen new analytics are being developed as part of this project to identify and count variables such as stakes, metal structures, solar panels, and other infrastructure under construction.

“The accuracy of our algorithms is already over 85% in the testing phase and typically exceeds 92% in operation. This is an unprecedented project in scale and innovation”, emphasizes Eduardo Vargas, Business Development Manager at Graymatics.
