IFPE Opens Selection Process with More Than 2,000 Vacancies in Free Courses for Technical and Higher Education Without the Need for Entrance Exams
On last Monday (5th), the Federal Institute of Pernambuco (IFPE) opened enrollment for its selection process offering 2,893 vacancies in free courses for technical and higher education spread across various regions of the state. In the selection process, no entrance exam will be required; thus, the selection will occur through analysis of the academic record or by using the score from the National High School Exam (ENEM).

In total, the vacancies were distributed across 16 campuses, namely: Abreu e Lima, Barreiros, Afogados da Ingazeira, Belo Jardim, Caruaru, Cabo de Santo Agostinho, Garanhuns, Ipojuca, Igarassu, Olinda, Jaboatão dos Guararapes, Pesqueira, Palmares, Paulista, Recife, and Vitória de Santo Antão.

129 vacancies for technical courses in the subsequent modality, that is, for those who have already completed high school; 377 vacancies for higher education courses; 352 vacancies for technical courses in the integrated modality, that is, for those entering high school; 35 vacancies for the Professional Education Integration Program to High School in the Youth and Adult Education Modality (Proeja).
How to Enroll in IFPE’s Free Courses?
The enrollment for the courses is free and can be done on the Federal Institute of Pernambuco’s website until July 18. At the time of registration, candidates will need to select the modality they wish to compete for. It is worth noting that no entrance exam is needed, but the ENEM score or school report will be used.
For those who will use the ENEM score in the selection process, accepted editions will be from 2016 to 2020. Those who will use high school scores will need to present scores from the 1st and 2nd years, and therefore the candidate must attach the school report.
To enroll in IFPE’s free courses, the following information will be required: Full Name, Phone, Gender, Date of Birth, Blood Type, Address, and others.

- July 26: Publication of the preliminary list of registrations
- July 27 to 28: Correction of data and documentation
- August 4: Preliminary result of the correction process
- August 12: Publication of the list of approved candidates
- August 16: Start of the enrollment period
