Notice Will Be Launched in The First Quarter of 2025 and Will Develop Strategic Strategies to Expand Public Health Care in Belo Horizonte

The City Hall of Belo Horizonte (PBH) took an important step to strengthen public health in the state capital. Expected to launch in the first quarter of 2025, the new public competition will offer 12 thousand vacancies in the health field, covering various positions and specialties. This initiative aims to expand the coverage of health services, strengthen teams, and improve the quality of care for the population, according to the EM website.

Expansion of Teams and Strengthening Family Health

The vacancies from the competition will be aimed at professionals for positions such as Endemic Disease Combat Agents (ACE) and Community Health Agents (ACS), in addition to roles related to primary care and family health strategy. According to the municipal Secretary of Health, Danilo Borges, the goal is to consolidate the work of these professionals in a system that already has 88% coverage in the family health strategy and 100% in primary care.

Borges emphasizes the importance of securing professionals in the public health network, combating turnover and strengthening services. “We want Belo Horizonte to become a reference in Brazil, expanding our service capacity and efficiently resolving over 85% of the population’s demands with quality,” he stated.

2025 Competition and New Strategies to Strengthen Public Health

The 2025 public competition is one of the most relevant strategies to face the challenges of public health in Belo Horizonte. The classification of 12 thousand candidates will allow for the recomposition of teams and an increase in service capacity, benefiting the population.

With initiatives that include expansion of units, teleconsultation, digitization of medical records, and hiring of qualified professionals, the PBH works to consolidate itself as a reference in health in Brazil.
