The City of Belo Horizonte (PBH) has taken an important step to strengthen public health in the capital of Minas Gerais. With a launch scheduled for the first quarter of 2025, the new public tender will offer 12 thousand vacancies in the health sector, covering various loads and specialties. This initiative seeks expand the coverage of health services, strengthen teams and improve the quality of service to the population, according to the EM website.
Expanding teams and strengthening family health
The vacancies in the competition will be allocated to professionals for positions such as Endemic Disease Control Agents (ACE) e Community Health Agents (CHA), in addition to functions related to primary care and the family health strategy. According to the municipal health secretary, Danilo Borges, the objective is to consolidate the work of these professionals in a system that already has 88% coverage in the family health strategy and 100% in primary care.
Borges highlights the importance of retaining professionals in the public health network, combating turnover and strengthening services. “We want Belo Horizonte to become a reference in Brazil, expanding our service capacity and resolving more than 85% of the population’s demands with efficiency and quality,” he stated.
