This time, the Brazilian aircraft underwent a series of rigorous tests in an intense cold environment at the Vidsel Test Field in Sweden, proving its operational efficiency in challenging scenarios and reinforcing its competitiveness in the global defense market.

The information was disclosed by “AEROIN”, which highlighted the performance of the KC-390 during its recent world demonstration tour. According to the channel, the aircraft was able to operate accurately even under extremely low temperatures, consolidating its reputation as one of the most versatile and modern platforms today.

During the tests conducted in Sweden, the KC-390 executed short landings and takeoffs on snow-covered runways, one of the most challenging scenarios for military transport aircraft. Furthermore, these operations are part of a strategic set of validations aimed at proving the aircraft’s capability to operate in dispersed operations, that is, outside structured bases and in adverse conditions.

As a direct consequence of this technical performance, the presence of the KC-390 in the European market continues to expand. In 2025, the Swedish Air Force confirmed the acquisition of four units of the aircraft, aiming to modernize its military transport fleet and increase its operational capacity.

With this strategic decision, Sweden became the seventh NATO member nation to select the KC-390, significantly expanding the model’s presence within the military alliance. In this regard, the advancement reinforces Embraer’s positioning as one of the leading global manufacturers in the defense and military aviation sector.

Moreover, the world demonstration tour plays a fundamental role in the commercial expansion of the freighter. With each new presentation, the KC-390 showcases its robustness, efficiency, and ability to operate in multiple scenarios, from tropical regions to extreme cold environments, as demonstrated in Sweden.
