Ethanol Industry Officializes Installation License Request in Mato Grosso and Advances with Plant That Will Create Over 200 Jobs.
The Ethanol Industry officially requests an installation license and opens a new phase in the energy sector of Mato Grosso.
The request was made by Evermat S/A – Green Ethanol of Mato Grosso, which published, in the Official State Gazette on December 3, 2025, the formal request for the Installation License (LI).
The documentation was submitted to SEMA-MT, responsible for the environmental authorization necessary for the plant to move to the operational stage.

With 50 tons of plastic waste, a 30-meter bridge was assembled over a river in Scotland. It seems like an ordinary construction, but it doesn’t use traditional wood or steel and can even be disassembled.

Without concrete, without traditional cleaning, and without common separation, a block made of recycled plastic transforms problematic waste into a rigid piece for walls and structures.
The goal is to ensure that the plant starts operating in the first quarter of 2026, increasing the supply of biofuels in the state that is growing the most in corn production.
The initiative takes place in Sinop (MT), where the industrial structure is under construction.
The company states that it decided to speed up the process because, in addition to the economic potential of the region, vertical integration of the production chain has become essential to add value to the raw material and strengthen the local agribusiness.
Who Officialized the License Request
The entity responsible for the new venture is Evermat S/A – Green Ethanol of Mato Grosso (CNPJ 50.259.360/0001-80).
The company is located at lot nº 75-A, Bairro Lídia, Gleba Celeste 4th Part, in Sinop, one of the municipalities leading industrial advancement in the northern region of the state.
According to the publication, the company “makes it public that it has requested from SEMA/MT State Secretariat for the Environment, the Installation License (LO) for Ethanol Industry.”
The request marks the final step before the operation of the plant and reinforces the sector’s advancement in the state. Thus, the ethanol industry officializes the installation license request, a decisive step to consolidate the plant as one of the largest in Mato Grosso.
Billion-Dollar Investment and Accelerated Timeline
Evermat had already drawn attention in September when the National Confederation of Agriculture (CNA) highlighted the economic relevance of the project.
According to the entity, the plant represents an initial investment of about R$ 1 billion only in the first phase.
However, the projection is even more robust, reaching up to R$ 4 billion in the next four years, depending on the need for expansion.
This amount places the venture among the largest industrial investments ever announced in the state. In addition, the speed at which the construction progresses reinforces the company’s commitment to start operations on time.
Structure Under Construction and Job Creation
Currently, 850 professionals are directly working on the construction of the plant.
When it starts operating, the ethanol industry will also officialize the installation license request to enable a structure that will operate 24 hours a day, all year round.
The plant is expected to process 1,250 tons of corn per day, consolidating Sinop as a strategic hub for corn ethanol.
The expectation is that more than 200 direct jobs will be created right at the start of operations, with potential for growth as new phases are activated.
Diverse Production and Focus on Vertical Integration
The plant will produce anhydrous and hydrated ethanol, supplying both the domestic market and the sector of fuels mixed with gasoline.
This diversification allows the industrial complex to add value to corn and strengthen the regional economy.
Thus, the ethanol industry officializes the installment license request as an essential step to enhance productive vertical integration in the state.
Next Steps
With the request submitted to SEMA-MT, Evermat awaits the necessary technical assessment for the release of the Installation License.
After approval, the plant enters the final stage before commercial operation, expected to begin in early 2026.
