The International Oil And Gas Meeting Will Be Held In Salvador, Bahia, In This Edition Of 2023
Great news for the oil and gas sector! This Time, The Brazil Oil & Gas Event Will Be Held In Salvador, Bahia, from May 24 to 26 and organized by Sebrae.
To organize the event, SEBRAE gathered at its headquarters various representatives from the oil and gas sector who are also partners of the media. The event, which will be held by SEBRAE’s onshore hub and also by Petronor in Bahia, will take place at the Salvador Convention Center, with an expected attendance of more than 2,000 participants per day.
The project launch highlighted the importance of the oil and gas history in Bahia, also addressing the significance of the sector in Brazil and Bahia, the social and environmental context, and brought various updates about the international event.

The Major Oil And Gas Event In Bahia
The oil and gas event will be held in Bahia every 2 years and will focus on the oil and gas sector of the state. The Bahia event will address highly relevant issues for the exploration and production of oil, petrochemicals, transportation, as well as for the naval sector and energy transition.
This 2023 edition, which will take place in Bahia, will consist of technical conferences, innovation arenas, business fairs, an ESG Arena, field visits, and also business meetings.
According to Jorge Khoury, superintendent of Sebrae Bahia, the institution played a significant role in organizing the event, as it helped create an environment conducive to the sector and also for micro and small businesses.
According to him: “It is necessary to strengthen the business environment of these companies, with the understanding of the public authorities of municipalities, states, and the Union, in order to avoid bureaucracy and constraints. In the next 50 years, Sebrae’s work with companies will be essential, especially in the creation of this favorable environment where they can effectively develop their activities and prosper.”
Furthermore, according to PetroNor’s director, Nicolás Honorato: “We are preparing an event that is not only worthy of Bahia’s rich oil history and diversity but mainly of the promising future that we envision and want to happen.”
