About the Federal Institute
The Federal Institute of Education, Science, and Technology of Mato Grosso (IFMT) is a public institution linked to the Ministry of Education and was established by Law No. 11,892, of December 29, 2008.
Its creation occurred from the unification of the former CEFET-MT, CEFET-Cuiabá, and the Federal Agricultural School of Cáceres.
As a federal autarchy, IFMT has administrative, patrimonial, financial, and pedagogical autonomy, acting in professional and technological training at different levels and modalities of education.
Its area of coverage encompasses the entire State of Mato Grosso, currently with 18 campuses distributed across various regions: Alta Floresta, Barra do Garças, Cáceres, Campo Novo do Parecis, Confresa, Cuiabá – Octayde Jorge da Silva, Cuiabá – Bela Vista, Juína, Pontes e Lacerda, Primavera do Leste, Rondonópolis, São Vicente, Sorriso, Várzea Grande, Campo Verde, Diamantino, Tangará da Serra, and Guarantã do Norte.
