The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) is Accepting Enrollments for 38 Free Short Courses, Available Until June 18
The Federal Institute of Mato Grosso do Sul (IFMS) has launched the distance learning courses for the first semester of 2025. The courses are completely free and accessible to anyone interested in expanding their knowledge. Without tutoring, these courses can be completed by June so that students can receive their certificates.
Enrollments remain open until June 18, and students must complete the courses by the 30th of the same month. To enroll, interested individuals must access the Free Courses platform of IFMS, create an account, and choose the desired course.
It is essential that information such as name, Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (CPF), and email are correct, as they will be used to confirm enrollment and issue the certificate.

New Courses in 2025
This semester, two new short courses are being offered:
- Digital Marketing: With a duration of 60 hours, this course provides an introduction to the digital universe, covering fundamental concepts, search engine optimization (SEO) strategies, and content marketing. It is ideal for entrepreneurs and professionals in career transition looking to develop practical skills.
- Basic Computer Skills: Also with 60 hours, this course is intended for beginners and covers basic concepts of hardware and software, as well as the use of tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The goal is to equip participants for efficient use of the digital environment.
Courses That Continue in 2025
In addition to the new courses, three previously launched disciplines continue to be offered:
- Introduction to Data Science: With 45 hours, this course is aimed at those who want to understand the world of data and how to extract valuable information from it, including an introduction to Python and machine learning concepts.
- Ancient Philosophy: This 45-hour course explores the main philosophers and currents of Western thought, ideal for those who want to understand the roots of the ideas that shaped society.
- Basic Algebra II: With 20 hours, this course is a continuation of the basic course and is suitable for both beginners and those who want to refresh fundamental algebra concepts.
