The Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of Pernambuco (IFPE) announced the opening of the 2025.1 Admission Process. There are 5,116 free spots available in technical and undergraduate courses, distributed across 16 in-person campuses and 11 Distance Education (EaD) poles. Registration is open from November 29 to December 19, with various entry options for different candidate profiles.

Course Modalities and Number of Spots

IFPE offers 114 courses that cater to a wide variety of fields of knowledge and educational levels:

Integrated Technical Courses to High School: 1,865 spots.
Subsequent Technical Courses (for those who have already completed High School): 1,921 spots.
Undergraduate Courses: 1,295 spots.
Professional Qualification Proeja: 35 spots.

Of the 5,116 spots, 4,776 are for in-person courses and 340 for EaD courses.

How the Selection Process Works at IFPE

IFPE adopts various criteria to select candidates, according to the course and modality chosen. Check the details:

Integrated Technical Courses to High School
- Agricultural Campuses (Barreiros, Belo Jardim, and Vitória de Santo Antão): Selection by analysis of school history in Portuguese and Mathematics.
- Other Campuses: Selection by exam.
Subsequent Technical Courses
- Criteria: High School record or Enem scores (2019 to 2023) in the areas of Languages, Codes, and Mathematics.
Undergraduate Courses
- Selection by exam, with 50 objective questions and an essay.
Proeja Course
- Analysis of the elementary school record in Portuguese and Mathematics.

Registration Fee and Exemption for Technical and Undergraduate Courses at IFPE

The registration fee varies by modality:

R$ 30 for integrated technical courses.
R$ 55 for undergraduate courses.
Exemption: Available for low-income candidates registered in CadÚnico and other priority groups, such as quilombolas, indigenous people, and those aged 50 or older. The deadline for authorized requests is from November 29 to December 9, upon submission of documentation.
