Applications Open for the Partiu IF Program, Which Offers In-Person Preparation and Financial Aid for Eight Months for Those Who Wish to Enroll in the Technical High School of the Federal Institute of Bahia.

The Federal Institute of Bahia is announcing 1,000 open slots for a free preparatory course that also pays a monthly stipend of R$ 200 for eight months. Applications are open until March 6. Selection will be through an electronic public lottery.

The program, called Partiu IF, is aimed at students in the 9th grade who want to compete for a spot in the technical high school of the institution in 2026. In addition to in-person classes, students receive financial support to help with transportation and food expenses.

In the last cycle, nearly half of the participants were approved in the technical courses at IFBA. Therefore, this represents a real opportunity for those seeking professional qualification even at the basic education level.

In total, there are 25 in-person classes distributed across 24 municipalities in Bahia, including Salvador, Feira de Santana, Vitória da Conquista, Camaçari, Juazeiro, Ilhéus, Barreiras, Porto Seguro, among other interior locations.

Who Can Participate and Secure This Monthly Financial Aid?

The program is directed toward those who meet the following criteria:

  • Be enrolled in the 9th grade of elementary school in 2026
  • Have completed elementary school in a public school

In addition, there are reserved spots for:

  • Students with a family income per capita of up to one minimum wage
  • Self-declared black, brown, indigenous, or quilombola individuals
  • Individuals with disabilities

This means the focus is on increasing access to public and free technical education, prioritizing those who need educational support the most.

What Does the Student Learn During Partiu IF Bahia?

The course acts as a strategic boost for those wishing to enroll in IFBA’s technical high school. The classes are in-person and aimed at leveling the content covered in the institution’s selection processes.

For eight months, participants undergo intensive preparation in fundamental subjects. This way, they arrive better prepared for the regular selection of technical courses.

In addition to academic content, the environment provides educational guidance and encouragement to continue studying. This increases the student’s confidence and reinforces their professional life project.

What Technical Training Opportunities Does IFBA Offer After This Preparation?

The ultimate goal of the program is to facilitate access to integrated technical courses offered by IFBA. Among the areas traditionally available by the institution are:

  • Computer Science
  • Electrical Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Construction
  • Chemistry
  • Administration
  • Environmental Studies

These programs are recognized in the market and increase the chances of professional insertion even during youth. Thus, the preparatory course serves as a gateway to valued technical careers.

The Free Course from the Federal Institute Guarantees a Certificate and a Stipend Throughout the Period

Yes. The regularly enrolled student who participates in the activities receives a monthly stipend of R$ 200 over eight months.

The aid is paid precisely to ensure permanence in the course. This way, students can dedicate themselves to in-person classes without compromising their family budget.

At the end of the program, participants receive a certificate of participation, which also adds value to their academic record.

How to Register Before the Deadline Ends?

The registrations are free and will remain open until March 6. In Salvador, registration is done through an electronic form specific to each campus. In other municipalities, candidates must access the official IFBA portal and fill out the form corresponding to the desired location.

The selection will be conducted through an electronic public lottery, scheduled for March 13. Thus, all who meet the requirements will participate on equal terms.

With a guaranteed stipend, in-person classes, and preparation focused on technical education, Partiu IF solidifies itself as one of the main initiatives supporting the qualification of young people from the public network in Bahia.
