Federal Institute opens vacancies for free technical courses in Administration and Landscaping in RJ. Applications are open until June 5.

High school students and people who have already completed their studies can enroll in free technical courses offered by the Federal Institute of Rio de Janeiro (IFRJ). The opportunities are in the areas of Administration and Landscaping at the Pinheiral Campus, in the interior of the state. Applications can be made online for free until June 5, and the selection will be conducted by public lottery, without the need for an exam.

According to IFRJ, classes are scheduled to start in August 2026 and will be held in the evening. The courses will last three semesters and are aimed at those who will be in the 2nd or 3rd year of high school in 2026 as well as candidates who have already completed this stage of education.

The vacancies offered by the Federal Institute include training focused on the job market and professional qualification. The technical course in Administration covers content related to people management, logistics, marketing, and finance.

How does the selection for the Federal Institute vacancies work?

Unlike many traditional selection processes, entry into the free technical courses will be determined by public lottery. Thus, participants will not need to take an exam to compete for the vacancies.

According to the notice released by the institution, the selection will follow criteria officially established by the campus. Additionally, the courses will be offered exclusively in the evening.

Free technical courses come with benefits for students

In addition to free education, the Federal Institute informed that students may receive other assistance during the training period.

Among the expected benefits are free dinner on campus and participation in scholarship programs, according to the rules established in the selection notices.

Another point highlighted by the institution involves students who live in other cities. In this case, free intercity transportation may be requested, with the right to up to 60 monthly tickets.

The measure aims to facilitate students’ travel to the campus and expand access to free technical courses.

Federal Institute expands access to professional training

The Pinheiral Campus reinforced that the opportunities are part of the professional qualification actions developed by the Federal Institute. The proposal is to allow students and people already graduated from high school to have access to technical education at no cost.

Furthermore, offering classes in the evening period caters to candidates who work during the day or have other activities.
