The Petrobras will pay around R$ 480 million to the municipality of São Mateus do Sul and the state of Paraná, which will be allocated to investments in infrastructure and other areas. The investment from Petrobras will bring new perspectives for the development of southern Paraná. The Resources from the Agreement on Shale Exploration Will Be Used for Infrastructure Investments
The agreement signed last year will pay about R$ 480 million in 60 installments. In addition to the health and education sectors already determined by law, these shale royalties may also be used for energy, paving, water treatment, irrigation, the environment, and basic sanitation.
The president of Amsulpar, an association representing southern Paraná municipalities, Toninho Szaykowski, thanked the governor for the meeting and the partnership in the region’s development. “I want to thank the governor for welcoming us with the help of Deputy Hussein, so we can build together this perspective for the development of our region through structural works,” said Szaykowski.
