The Car Manufacturer Brand Is Still Little Known in Brazil, with the Name of GWM, but Has Great Plans to Redefine Vehicle Sales in the Country

One of the less known brands in Brazil is GWM (short for “Great Wall Motors”) and with the aim of becoming more talked about and well-regarded by Brazilians, the Chinese manufacturer is planning a different project, a kind of delivery service that delivers vehicles to buyers’ homes!

According to information from the company, vehicle purchases by delivery will start functioning in the second quarter of 2023, valid for anywhere in the country, meaning that in addition to handling online sales, GWM will have to fulfill deliveries in more than 5,500 municipalities.

To further gain consumer trust, the manufacturer will also offer test drives in setups built in public spaces such as shopping centers.

Vehicle Subscription? We Will Have It!

Another area that the company intends to explore here in Brazil is vehicle leasing and subscription. The information was confirmed by GWM Brazil’s General Director, Oswaldo Ramos, at the AutoData Perspectives 2023 Congress.

In addition to , the manufacturer also states that the owner will not need to travel to carry out periodic revisions and maintenance. The company will pick up and return the vehicle ready at the customer’s address. “We will pick the customer’s car up at home. If it’s a long service, we will also provide a courtesy car,” said the executive.

Great Wall has been in Brazil since January 2022 and plans to invest about R$ 10 billion in the new plan. The brand’s first vehicle will debut in early 2023 and will be imported from China, the Haval H6.

In the first half of 2023, 46 dealerships of the manufacturer and 30 distribution centers for vehicles and spare parts will be inaugurated. The manufacturer also acquired a factory that belonged to Mercedes-Benz in Iracemápolis, São Paulo’s interior. The first car made on Brazilian soil is expected to hit the market in early 2024.
