The decision was approved by the Board of Directors during a meeting last Wednesday (26/06), aiming for a major boost in efficiency and sustainability. Klabin modernizes factory with recovery boiler
The plan includes the installation of a new recovery boiler, an essential part of the paper and cellulose production process.
This boiler plays a crucial role in recovering chemicals used in cooking wood and generating steam from black liquor, a byproduct of the process.

The initiative not only ensures the operational continuity of the Monte Alegre Unit, but also promises to considerably improve its efficiency and competitiveness in the market.
The total investment of R$1,7 billion, to be disbursed between 2024 and 2027, includes around R$180 million in recoverable taxes and will be financed by the company's available resources, without compromising its financial leverage.
This project is aligned with the investment projections announced by Klabin at the end of 2023, demonstrating a continued commitment to sustainable growth.
