Klabin, one of the leaders in the paper and pulp sector in Brazil, announced an ambitious project to modernize its factory located in Telemaco Borba, Paraná. The decision was approved by the Board of Directors during a meeting last Wednesday (06/26), aiming for a significant boost in efficiency and sustainability, while also generating thousands of job opportunities for local residents.
Klabin Modernizes Factory with Recovery Boiler
The plan includes the installation of a new recovery boiler, an essential component in the paper and pulp production process.
This boiler plays a crucial role in recovering chemicals used in cooking wood and generating steam from black liquor, a byproduct of the process.

Company Estimates to Create 1,800 Jobs During Peak Construction of Modernization
In addition to the economic and environmental benefits, the modernization of the factory promises to have significant positive impacts on job creation.
During the peak of construction, it is estimated that up to 1,800 new jobs will be created, providing an important employment opportunity for the local community.
The new boiler is expected to start operations in the fourth quarter of 2026, marking an important milestone in Klabin’s trajectory of innovation and development in Telemaco Borba.
