Lamborghini Announces New High-Performance Hybrid Car! With Advanced Engine, the Model Impresses the Automotive Industry by Achieving Up to 900 HP of Power and a Top Speed of 343 km/h.
On August 16, 2024, during the Monterey Car Week in California, Lamborghini presented to the automotive industry the Temerario, its new hybrid car that replaces the old Huracán. This is the brand’s second electrified vehicle, following the Revuelto, and, along with the Urus SE, completes the line of hybrid models from the Italian manufacturer. The Temerario is equipped with a biturbo V8 engine combined with three electric motors, reaching a total power of 920 HP. The company claims that this new supercar redefines the concepts of performance and driving pleasure, establishing a new standard in the super sports car segment. The model will arrive in Brazil later this year.
New Hybrid Car from Lamborghini Delivers 800 HP of Power in Gasoline Mode
The new engine from Lamborghini is, without a doubt, the main highlight of the model. Instead of the V10, the Temerario features a new 4.0 biturbo V8, created from scratch by the manufacturer.
It delivers 800 HP of power between 9,000 and 9,750 RPM, with a redline at 10,000 RPM, while torque is 74.4 kgfm between 4,000 and 7,000 RPM. Its two turbos are positioned in a “V” between the cylinders, improving its dimension, duct geometry, and thermal management.

The new engine from Lamborghini has been carefully calculated. The crankshaft’s connecting rods are set at a 180° angle, like in racing engines, helping to deliver higher torque at low speeds and a deeper roar.
It features aluminum connecting rods to reduce weight and cast aluminum alloy cylinder heads. Even the camshaft has a layer of Diamond-Like Carbon (DLC), increasing its durability to withstand up to 11,000 RPM.
Lamborghini Hybrid Car Reaches 340 km/h
The electric part of the car surprises the automotive industry with three motors. One of them, with 150 HP, is positioned between the new combustion engine and the 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, used to supplement the gasoline unit at low RPM with its 30.6 kgfm of torque, in addition to covering the turbo lag.
The other two propellers in the Lamborghini hybrid car are located on the front axle, allowing for fully electric traction if the driver prefers or for all-wheel drive. Each one drives one of the front wheels and delivers 82 HP.
The result is that the Temerario has a total of 920 combined HP, enabling it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.7 seconds, with a top speed that can reach 343 km/h.
Even though it has a City mode using only the electric motors to move, the brand promises that it is possible to have fun with the sports car, even using a Drift mode to drive only the rear wheels.
Car from the Brand Stands Out in the Automotive Industry for Its Design
The model, besides featuring a new Lamborghini engine, brings a design that combines many elements from the old Huracán, such as its headlights and hexagonal LED taillights. Its front looks much more futuristic due to the shape of both the headlights and the lighting in the bumper.
Instead of using an aluminum chassis, as was done in the Huracán, Lamborghini opted to use only aluminum. This reduced the use of the material by half, in addition to increasing torsional rigidity by 20% and requiring 80% fewer weld points, while also reducing weight.
The interior of the Lamborghini hybrid car continues with the idea of using hexagonal elements, like in the air conditioning vents. The brand did not neglect technology, adding three screens. The driver will use the 12-inch digital instrument panel, and in the center, there is a vertical 8.4-inch display for multimedia. The passenger has a slim 9.1-inch screen with data from the car and multimedia.
