Yesterday (11/05), a live stream was held featuring the president of Fieam (Federation Of Industries Of The State Of Amazonas) and executives from LG Electronics. The minister also stated that the commitment to double the originally anticipated number of jobs (from 68 to a forecast of 150 jobs) is a major victory for the Free Trade Zone of Manaus, in the state of Amazonas, and for LG.

Project Of The Multinational Had Been Removed From The Agenda Of The Meeting Of The Suframa Administration Council
On April 23, Carlos Costa had removed from the agenda of the meeting of the Suframa Administration Council (CAS) the LG project. The multinational’s plan, which had received favorable opinions from other CAS members, had the largest projected investments on the agenda of the meeting, with about R$ 325 million.
However, at the time, Costa stated that the removal of LG’s project would not signify a rejection of the project, stressing the effort to better understand the circumstances that led to such a low number of jobs being generated by such a high volume of investments to be made by LG in the state of Amazonas.
