Uber announced a turnaround for 2025: several cars will no longer be able to operate on Uber due to changes in vehicle acceptance rules. What Changes in Uber’s Comfort and Black Categories?

Uber Black: More Exclusive Criteria
The Black category, recognized as Uber’s most luxurious, will have more demanding acceptance rules. In addition to maintaining the requirement for classic colors such as black, graphite, silver, and navy blue, vehicles will need to meet specific manufacturing year limits, which vary by city.

Another important point: to remain in the category, drivers will need to maintain a minimum rating of 4.85 stars and have completed at least 100 rides.
Comfort: The End for Popular Models
In the Comfort category, focused on more spacious and comfortable rides, the changes will also be significant. Starting in 2025, cars such as the Renault Sandero and Hyundai HB20 will no longer be able to operate on Uber Comfort, regardless of the year.
